Holy smokes...

I'm WAY behind.  This past month-and-a-half has literally been a whirlwind adventure!  It has been jam-packed with most things good, and a few things not so good.  But such is life, I guess.  I tried catching up on my blog last night but it wouldn't let me sign in.  Not sure why my old blog email wasn't working anymore, but it took me a while to figure out how to change my username and blog email address...yada yada yada...anyway...I'm BACK and I'm ready to try and play a quick game of catch-up!
(as a side note, all the private blogs I read, I'm going to need new invites since I had to change my log-in info.  Please...and thank you!)

First and foremost...WE SURVIVED our big move!  Barely.  I'm exhausted and probably a little more crabby and impatient than I should be!  I will work on that!  We are back 'home' in Idaho and it feels great.  It is nice for once to move to a place and not have to learn street names and directions.  One less thing to worry about!

I don't even know where to start...  I guess I'll start with some of the events of our last month in Colorado.  Get ready.... with the end of school there's a WHOLE LOT to post.  Get ready for an avalanche of pictures!  I will spare you from a lot of jibber jabber...pictures speak a thousand words anyway.

First...I had to say goodbye to my amazing Young Women!  I love these girls.  I will miss them!

  .....................................................................................................................

KJ finished his first flag football season.  He loved it.  His team did great!  He has the itch to keep playing, which makes me happy!  It was a fun learning and growing experience for him.

......................................................................................................................

Jack finished his first season on his Metal Sonics Kindergarten soccer team!
It was hilarious.  And cute.  He made me proud!
He was excited to get his very first trophy!  He got the 'award' for most goals scored...not always necessarily in the right net, but does that REALLY matter?!?

.......................................................................................................................

Olivia saved her money and bought her very first pair of rollerblades!  She is a rock star on them!  It's her new favorite thing to do!
She also had her first pre-school classmate crush (Luke) and milked her first 'fake' cow. :)

This was Olivia's 'other' crush this year.  She was head-over-heels for KJ's teacher.  Every time she would talk to him, she'd scrunch up her nose, it was adorable.
..........................................................................................................................

I was able to go with Jack's class on a field trip to the dairy farm!  I sure grew to love those little munchkins....even if they did ask me if I had a baby in my tummy.

This was Jack and his buddy Marcus on the last day of school.  I really grew to love this kid, he was ALWAYS kind and polite to Jack.  He always had his 'back'.  Which, as a mom with a kid with Asperger's, I appreciated more than he'll ever know!
..............................................................................................................................

KJ had a fun field day that I was able to go to as well!  His third grade class was awesome!  I worked in class enough to get to know each and every one of his classmates.  What an awesome group of kids! KJ will really miss some of these guys and he will especially miss his teacher.  Mr. Mathis quickly became a hero to KJ.  I feel blessed that he was placed in that class last year!  KJ was so sad to see the year end...what kid EVER says that?  I can't ever remember being sad to start summer vacation.  It just goes to show that Mr. Mathis had a big impact on that group of kids.

Saying their good-byes.  Sad day for both of them.  Tears were shed. :(

.................................................................................................................................

Olivia officially graduated from preschool!  This makes me happy and sad.  I know she's ready to start school but I'm not ready for her to keep growing up!  It was a very cute patriotic program.  She nailed her lines perfectly and sang her little heart out.  She also had a great year, made great friends, and learned a lot from her great teachers.

..........................................................................................................................

KJ and Jack also had end of the year music programs.  It is always cute.  KJ looks like he's being tortured the whole time which is always hilarious.  Jack sang along to every song and even did all the right gestures...Except for the 3 minutes he spent digging for a piece of treasure in his nose.  That's always a proud motherhood moment.

........................................................................................................................

We spent our last day with Lucy, Britt, and Shawn at their swimming pool!  She takes after her Aunt Tiff, she's a water bug.
Ahhh...I sure love that little girl.  I miss her already.  It's a good thing they are coming to visit next week!  Wahoo!

.................................................................................................................

And last, but certainly not least....Dan and I went down to Los Angeles for a Dental Conference.  Dan kept really busy with dental stuff and I didn't see him much, but we still had a blast!  Seeing my sister Heidi and my nephews was definitely THE highlight of the trip!  Everything else was fun too!  It was so good to catch up with her, see her growing baby bump and just give some of my favorite people a great big hug!  Even if the boys didn't want hugs or pictures, I forced them anyway! They're at that age.  :)

There was a TON going on in LA the weekend we were there.  Right in our hotel complex there was the American Idol finale, a Clipper's game, a King's game, the Lakers played, there was a huge Bike tour race.  It was nuts.  It was also fun, and very lively!

PDS had some fun things planned.  Had red carpets, dancing, fed us lots and lots of yummy food and had some fun entertainers.  There was a whole show of impersonators.  We saw Jay Leno, Michael Jackson, Austin Powers, Tina Turner, etc.  No expense was spared.

There was stuff planned every night for the conference, but after a couple of nights spent at bars and dancing, I wanted to do something different.  Something more...me!  We went to a Dodgers game and ate lots of good ball game food!  It was much more relaxing and we had a fun time.  Dodgers won.  They beat Dan's Cardinals.  hehe!  And after the game I ran in to the lucky strike pin...again.
We had a couple of intimate moments.  ;)

Best day of all was the day spent in my big sister's company.  She and the ocean are two things that make me extremely happy!  It also helped having Jayden and Spenc with us for a few hours.  I wanted to push the slow motion button that whole day and just soak it all in.  It flew by much too fast.  I hope I can plan another trip down there REALLY soon.

Phewwwww......
That's all I can muster up right now for this blog post.  That took much longer than I had planned.

Next post I promise I'll show pics of our new crib and some fun things we've done our first week here!
